Dendy Park Tennis Club Competitions is a local event that takes place in East Brighton, Victoria, Australia. Known as one of the strongest competition clubs in the country, Dendy Park Tennis Club has a proud history of winning numerous Tennis Victoria and previously Lawn Tennis Association of Victoria Pennants.
Over the years, this club has produced exceptional pennant players and former Club Champions, including the likes of Albert Jacoby, Neale Fraser, Will Coghlan, Terry Payton, Mark Hartnett, Paul Arber, Andrew McLean, Thelma Long, Lorraine Robinson, Lynne Nette, and Wendy Pearson. By joining this esteemed club, players have the opportunity to elevate their competition play and regularly contend for Tennis Victoria pennants in both elite and lower grades. In 2018, our club played both Men's and Women's Pennant competitions, and we are dedicated to further developing the participation of women in tennis. Thus, we are actively seeking Woman's Pennant players at all levels to strengthen our roster. We believe in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women to thrive and excel in the sport.
Aside from external competitions, Dendy Park Tennis Club also organises internal ladies competitions, which take place on Tuesday mornings from 9.00 am to 11.30 am. These competitions are not solely limited to our members; non-members are more than welcome to join in on the action. We believe in providing opportunities for players of all backgrounds and affiliations to enjoy the sport and improve their game.
Our club also places a strong emphasis on junior tennis, recognising the importance of nurturing young talent. We have teams available for all age groups, participating in both the Moorabbin and District Junior Competition on Saturday mornings, as well as the Bayside Regional Competition on Sunday mornings. It's heartening to witness the growth and development of these young players as they progress through the ranks.
Moreover, Dendy Park Tennis Club fields Men's and Ladies teams in the Bayside Regional summer competition, held on Saturday afternoons. This provides an additional avenue for players to engage in competitive matches and showcase their skills.
