Dare Dance Academy

The Dare Dance Academy would like to extend a warm welcome to you all! Since its founding in early 2014, Dare Dance has rapidly grown into one of Surrey’s quickest expanding dance and performing arts schools. Presently, there are roughly 40 classes each week across 7 locations, offering something for everyone. 📅

Classes range from ISTD Ballet, Modern, and Tap, to Street, Jazz, Commercial, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Disco, Gymnastics, and Cheerleading. Dare Dance is an ISTD registered academy, adhering to a syllabus from one of the world's most respected teaching examination boards.

The ISTD Ballet classes highlight elegance and discipline. ISTD Modern classes focus on style and rhythm, while ISTD Tap classes teach timing and rhythm. Jazz/Street classes are energetic and lively. Musical Theatre classes develop character and confidence. Cheerleading and Gymnastics classes promote teamwork and strength.

Founded by Rebecca Michell, known as 'Miss Becks', Dare Dance Academy has become one of the most exciting dance schools in Surrey. Miss Becks is a highly qualified and experienced dance teacher, holding a PGCE in Education, a BA Honours Degree in Education Studies, ISTD DDI/DDE Imperial Classical Ballet & Modern Theatre Diploma, and a Double Awarded Extended National Diploma in Dance.

Miss Becks is passionate about dance and the positive impact it can have. She has spent the last three years earning her ISTD qualifications and is inspired by her students’ love for dance. Miss Becks is dedicated to providing the best opportunities for her students and is excited about the future of Dare Dance Academy. 🌟

Joining her is Miss Callie, an IDTA Qualified Teacher who has undergone extensive dance training. She achieved the highest marks of distinction in her IDTA exams and is eager to share her passion for dance with the students at Dare Dance Academy.
