Dance PNP, the local Contemporary Dance club in Harrison, is excited to promote their upcoming Contemporary Dance event! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, Dance PNP has something for everyone.
For the little ones, Dance PNP offers beginner-friendly classes for ages 3-5. These classes are all about introducing young children to the joy of music, movement, and body coordination. The Minions classes, held every Saturday at their Harrison studio, are specially designed to prioritise positivity and fun. And here's a great deal – Dance PNP offers up to 2 free trials for this age group.
If your child is between 5 and 12 years old, they can join the Beginner Primary classes. These classes provide a positive and inclusive environment where kids can have fun while learning hip hop foundations and grooves. Dance PNP also offers Junior Lyrical and Jazz classes for those who are more interested in contemporary styles. Students are even invited to participate in community events and school concerts throughout the year, although it's completely optional. You can join the Primary classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and don't forget to take advantage of their free trial offer.
For teenagers aged 13-18, Dance PNP has an Advanced Open class that caters to intermediate and advanced levels. This class offers challenging hip hop lessons covering different styles like foundations, krump, popping, wacking, locking, and urban choreography. And if you're interested in Afro dance, Dance PNP has got you covered. This class combines hip hop and Afro skills, providing a diverse range of moves. Just like the other classes, participating in community events and school concerts is optional. The Senior classes take place every Tuesday evening at their Harrison Studio.
If ballet is more your style, Dance PNP also offers beginner-friendly and fun Ballet classes for kids. The 3-5 year old ballet class is a great introduction to ballet moves in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. For older children, the Junior Ballet classes dive deeper into classical ballet foundations and incorporate them into full dance routines.
Dance PNP is also known for their Afro dance classes, which focus on modern African dance moves that are gaining popularity worldwide. These Afro classes are available on Tuesdays for all ages, as well as in the Advanced Open class on Tuesday nights.
And let's not forget about the boys! Dance PNP offers a Boys Crew class, providing a structured and supportive environment for boys to express themselves through dance. This class focuses on hip hop dance choreography and foundations, including popping, locking, isolations, and grooves.
For those who are interested in breakdancing, Dance PNP has got you covered too. Their Break Dance class is open to all genders and offers structured skill-based training. Students will learn the fundamentals of breakdance and how to incorporate those moves into entertaining routines.
All classes mentioned above are held at Dance PNP's Harrison School studio, located on Nullarbor Ave. Classes are run throughout the school term, with breaks during the school holidays. Please note that Term 4 will be 9 weeks long and will include a spectacular end-of-year concert.
Here are the upcoming terms for Dance PNP: Term 1, which runs from February 8 to April 8; Term 2, from April 26 to July 1; Term 3, from July 18 to September 23; and lastly, Term 4, from October 10 to December 16.
If you're unable to attend in person or simply prefer the convenience of dancing from home, Dance PNP also offers free online classes for beginners ages 3-5. This allows children to explore the world of dance from the comfort of their own homes.
