Led by Dr. Tom Kirk, a professional cycling coach and experienced competitor, we offer custom online cycle coaching programmes designed to assist clients in achieving their goals and optimising their competitive cycling performance while balancing their everyday life commitments.
We take pride in our prompt communication and timely responses to all inquiries, whether from potential new clients or long-term partners. To ensure a thorough understanding of your needs and goals, we begin the coaching process by sending you a detailed cycling coaching questionnaire. This questionnaire is designed to help you identify and articulate your goals and requirements, ensuring that nothing is overlooked in our initial discussions.
Upon review of the completed questionnaire, we may arrange a free, detailed consultation with you. Depending on your location, this consultation can take place face to face, over the phone, or via video chat. During this conversation, we will go over the questionnaire and any available past training and testing data to build your first cycling coaching plan. There is no fee for this consultation, and you are under no obligation to sign up.
Once you have decided to proceed with us, we aim to start all new clients within a week, though during busier periods, we may agree on a later start time. In some cases, we may recommend performance testing to ensure that your training is tailored to your individual needs from the very beginning. Your custom cycle coaching plan will be based on the demands of your goal events and focused on long-term development. We will work on improving your weaknesses, especially if they significantly limit your progress, while also enhancing your strengths and accommodating your time availability.
Monitoring and analysis are crucial elements in the athlete-coach relationship. As we get to know you better, we will regularly initiate conversations to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your training. The frequency of feedback and monitoring will depend on the coaching plan you choose. We utilise TrainingPeaks WKO5 to analyse your training files, which are downloaded from your personal online TrainingPeaks account.
Periodic testing, analysis of race performances, and training sessions feedback allow us to refine and progress your coaching plan, ensuring that you achieve peak condition for your goal events.
