Pat here from the organising team, wanted to share a quick note about the Crymych Leisure Centre. Nestled in the Preseli Mountains, right here in Crymych, Pembrokeshire, this facility has been serving the community since 1997.
Crymych Leisure Centre offers a solid mix of amenities—there’s a gym, a swimming pool, various group exercise classes, and a sports hall. The gym is kitted out with cardio machines, resistance machines, free weights, and a stretching area. Plus, there's a dedicated weights room. If you're new to the gym, don’t worry. A quick induction can be sorted by phone or email to get you started.
For those just passing through, there's a 14-day Gym Access for Visitors option. Handy, isn’t it?
The swimming pool’s a decent size at 25m x 8.5m with 4 lanes. You can join public swimming sessions, lessons, or even inflatable sessions—loads to keep everyone entertained.
On the exercise classes front, we’ve got activities like Pilates and Spin, all led by experienced instructors. Great for training, and a good chance to meet some new folks.
Then there’s the sports hall. Perfect for local clubs training through winter, or for a family game of badminton or table tennis. You can even book the whole hall for a kickabout or a game of basketball.
If you need more details or want to book something, just give the centre a ring or drop them an email.
Crymych Leisure Centre / Canolfan Hamdden Crymych is part of the Pembrokeshire County Council Leisure network, so you’ve got access to other spots like Haverfordwest, Pembroke, Milford Haven, Fishguard, and Tenby Leisure Centres too. Not to mention places like Caer Elen, Pembrokeshire Sports Village, St David's Sports Hall, and Thornton Hall.
Alright, that's enough from Pat. Hope to see you down at Crymych Leisure Centre soon! Cheers!
