Croydon Athletics Academy, located in London, is calling on young athletes aged 6–15 to join their dynamic training sessions. Led by passionate and professional coaches, the academy is driven by founder John Smith's mission to inspire and energise the next generation of athletes.
John Smith ensures each session covers running, jumping, throwing, hurdling, relays, and conditioning, all meticulously planned to offer well-rounded coaching. These UK Athletics-qualified coaches, all CRB-checked, keep sessions interactive with a high coach-to-athlete ratio for personalised training.
Athletes train at Croydon Sports Arena on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, with the first session free for newcomers. Grouped by age and ability, young athletes receive tailored coaching to build strong athletic foundations.
In partnership with Croydon Harriers, a respected local club, the academy supports continuous activity with their "Keep Active Pack" – over 15 home-based activities requiring minimal equipment. Athletes are encouraged to share their progress, fuelling motivation in the community.
Croydon Athletics Academy is also on the lookout for new coaching talent. Interested coaches can apply through their website.
