Established in 1968, the club was originally formed to provide opportunities for the children of workers at the nearby Crossley Carpets factory at Dean Clough textile mills. Over the years, it has grown to become the largest junior football club in Calderdale.

Crossley Juniors caters to children from as young as three or four years old through its 'Mini Kickers' section, and then continues their development through every age group up to Under 16's.
