CrossFit Oswestry has been a licenced CrossFit Affiliate for over six years, and we're proud to be the first and only CrossFit Affiliate in the area. Our team of trainers are experienced in the fitness industry and are all Certified CrossFit Trainers. We believe that CrossFit is for everyone, regardless of their fitness level, age, or background. Whether you're a teenager or a grandparent, a builder or a school teacher, or even from the forces to a desk job, CrossFit is tailored for you.
Our gym is open from Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We have a variety of classes to choose from, including our standard CrossFit classes, which are coach led and programmed specifically to help you get faster, fitter, and stronger. Each class includes a structured warm-up designed for that session, and the movements and workout duration are different every day to keep things interesting.
We also offer CrossFit Endurance classes, which are longer duration workouts typically performed in teams and utilise basic movements and lower loads. For those interested in Olympic Weightlifting, we have a CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting class that focuses purely on barbell training, utilising movements such as the snatch, clean and jerk, and their derivatives. This class is designed to help you learn and practise Olympic Weightlifting without the intensity of CrossFit.
So, what is CrossFit? CrossFit is a strength and conditioning programme that incorporates constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Functional movements are movements that mimic patterns used in everyday life, such as squatting, deadlifting, shoulder pressing, and pull-ups. These movements are perfectly in balance with your body's mechanics and are therefore safe.
CrossFit workouts are designed to prepare you for anything life can throw at you and aim to improve ten fundamental attributes of fitness, including strength, power, speed, stamina, endurance, agility, flexibility, accuracy, balance, and coordination. Each workout is performed at high intensity to maximise results.
