Dunsborough and Districts Country Club, located in Dunsborough, invites croquet enthusiasts to join in on the excitement of their upcoming event. With two Association size croquet courts and a vibrant community, this club is the place to be for both men and women, beginners and experienced players alike.
At the club, players are provided with all the necessary equipment for a thrilling game on the green. For those new to the sport, tuition is available to help get you started. The club hosts a mixed competition that runs throughout the year, allowing members and visitors to show off their skills and engage in friendly competition.
But that's not all! Dunsborough and Districts Country Club also gets in on the action by participating in the SW Pennants in October and Croquet West Tournaments held throughout the year. This provides players with even more opportunities to showcase their talent and test their abilities against other skilled croquet players.
There are various forms of croquet played at the club, catering to different skill levels and preferences. Golf croquet is a popular starting point and can be enjoyed all year round. It provides a relaxed atmosphere for beginners to learn the basics and get comfortable with the game. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, both singles and doubles formats are available, and on Fridays during summer hours, players can enjoy doubles format.
If you're looking for a new challenge, Ricochet is the game for you! Played year-round, Ricochet allows players to learn additional skills and strategies that can later be applied in the more advanced game of Association Croquet. Come join in on the fun on Thursdays during summer hours!
For those seeking a more complex and strategic game, Association Croquet is the way to go. Beginners are encouraged to attend on Fridays, where they can receive an introduction to AC croquet and get a taste of the excitement it offers. The club provides all the necessary equipment and instruction for all croquet games, ensuring that everyone can have a great time.
To participate in regular play, players must become Ordinary Members of the Dunsborough and Districts Country Club. The fee for Ordinary Membership is $90, and there is also an Annual Croquet fee of $190, which includes affiliation to Croquet West and grants players the opportunity to compete in games across Western Australia.
Green fees apply to all players, with full members paying $10 per week and visitors or casual players paying $12. After an exhilarating game, players often gather in the Clubhouse to socialise, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
