Welcome to Cromwell Lake, a beautiful 18 acre spring-fed, tree-lined specimen lake located just off the A1 in Newark, New Zealand. This picturesque fishing area offers a peaceful and serene environment for anglers to enjoy.
Cromwell Lake has a variety of features and depths, ranging from 3ft to 18ft. The lake boasts prominent gravel bars, silty areas, and drop-offs, as well as lush weed beds during the warmer months. Every peg is fishable, and the diversity of the lake's features contributes to the health and size of our fish population by providing them with a rich natural food source.
Surrounded by stunning willow, beech, magnolia, scotts pine, and cherry trees, Cromwell Lake is a haven for wildlife. This abundance of biodiversity creates a healthy ecosystem and a perfect habitat for our carp to thrive. In 2004, the fishery was transformed into a specimen carp venue, and since then, we have dedicated ourselves to maintaining our reputation as one of the leading fisheries in the Midlands.
At Cromwell Lake, our aim is to provide anglers with immaculate grounds in a safe and secure environment. We take pride in offering top-quality fishing experiences and excellent on-site facilities. Our lake currently holds several 40lb+ carp and a number of 55lb+ 30s. We also have a yearly stocking plan in place, purchasing hand-picked fish from premier fish farmers to ensure the growth of big carp for years to come.
We believe in providing exceptional service to our visitors. There will always be a friendly and knowledgeable staff member available to assist you during your visit. We have implemented a booking system to guarantee you one of our 18 spacious swims, each equipped with all the necessary landing equipment.
