Danny here, your enthusiastic organiser, with a quick note about our beloved football clubs, Crofton Junior AFC and Crofton Sports AFC, based right here in Wakefield, UK.
Danny is thrilled to share that Crofton Junior AFC is all about getting young ones into football, with teams ranging from Under 7s to Under 10s. The club is focused on honing basic skills and promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Coaches and volunteers are dedicated to ensuring a positive and nurturing environment where the kids can really shine.
On the other hand, Crofton Sports AFC has something for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, there are senior teams like the 1st Team, 2nd Team, and the Over 35's team. And let’s not forget about the fantastic girls’ teams including U8 Girls – Cats, U10 Girls Thunder, U11 Girls, and U15 Girls Jaguars. Inclusivity is key, and there’s a place for everyone, regardless of age or gender.
Both clubs are deeply rooted in the community, fostering camaraderie and providing a space where players can build lasting friendships while improving their football skills. We’re all about engaging with the community and welcoming players from all walks of life.
We don’t just stop at training and matches—throughout the year, Danny and the team organise fun social and fundraising events. These events help create a strong sense of belonging and contribute to improving our facilities and resources, ensuring everyone has a fantastic and safe footballing experience.
