Originally established in 1895, the course underwent a revitalisation in 1980 after a period of disuse. In 2012, a new layout change was implemented, transforming the course into a simpler yet challenging 9 tee and 9 hole design.

At Craignure Golf Club, the emphasis is on simplicity and trust. The clubhouse operates on an honesty box principle, meaning that it is not manned. Visitors are kindly requested to pay their green fees before commencing their round. If you require golf clubs, a limited number are available for hire at the tourist office opposite the ferry pier, where green fees can also be paid.

While pre-booking is not required, it is advisable to check the fixture list to ensure your round does not coincide with a club competition.
