The Cowan Charity Classic is an annual golf event held at the Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, Ontario, in support of local charities. Since its inception in 2002, the event has raised an impressive $1. 68 million to help those in need. The success of the event is largely due to the ongoing support of generous sponsors, with all funds raised being matched dollar for dollar by The Cowan Foundation.
The 2023 Cowan Charity of Choice is Homewood Research Institute (HRI), a national charity dedicated to transforming mental health and substance use treatment in Canada and beyond. The institute is focused on advancing early identification and tailored treatment for better outcomes among individuals with concurrent mental health conditions.
The event, scheduled for Monday, October 2nd, will feature a team scramble, shotgun start, breakfast, on-course food stations, reception, dinner, and prizes. Participants can join for $225 per player, which includes a “Gold Ticket” to participate in on-course games.
