About
Cove Joggers, led by the dedicated organiser Rob, is a Hampshire-based running club in Cove. Established in 1984, the club is open to adults of all ages and abilities who love running. 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Rob coordinates three main club runs each week:
- **Tuesday & Thursday evenings** at locations like Hawley Woods and Fleet Pond. Summer routes span 5 miles on local trails, while winter runs start at 6 pm from Cove Green.
- **Sunday mornings** at Samuel Cody School in Farnborough. Members hit various scenic spots including Basingstoke Canal and Deepcut, covering different distances.
Many Cove Joggers also join local parkruns on Saturdays. Throughout the year, members participate in popular races like the Frimley 10k, Endure 24, Fleet Half Marathon, and the London Marathon.
Proudly part of the Southern Cross Country League (SCCL), Cove Joggers embrace off-road races during Autumn and Winter, navigating challenging terrains and racking up points.
Special awards highlight the club spirit:
- The **Ray Tapp Memorial Handicap Run**, held at the AGM, crowns the fastest man and woman over a 3.6-mile run.
- The **Mike Porteous Member of the Year award** recognises outstanding contributions to the club.
Affiliated with England Athletics, Cove Joggers offers members access to various resources and benefits. New members are always welcome and can try a club run for free. Interested? Email covejoggers@live.co.uk or check out their social media for more details. 🌟
