Wallingford Castle Archers is excited to announce the County of Oxfordshire Senior Outdoor Championships 2024, a must-attend event for archers of all categories – recurve, compound, barebow, and longbow. Taking place on 22nd June 2024 at Wallingford Sports Park in Wallingford, OX10 9RB, this tournament follows the WRS WA 70m, WRS WA 60m, and WRS WA 50m rounds, all in line with World Archery Rules of Shooting.
This tournament holds a Tier 2 ranking for recurve, barebow, and compound archers, with a judging panel including Lee Miller, David Strong, and TBC. Awards will be presented in different age groups, such as Open, U21, and U18, based on both the ranking round and match play performances.
All participants must adhere to the AGB Rules of Shooting dress code and drug testing regulations. Drug testing may be conducted, and non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. For junior archers (under 18s), parental consent is required for drug testing if approached.
Registration opens bright and early at 8am, so don't forget your ArcheryGB cards or e-cards. Assembly is at 8.45am, with practice ends and the qualification round to follow. Match play will kick off shortly after the main round, leading to awards ceremony immediately after the shooting concludes.
Entry is open to all ArcheryGB members and those from other World Archery Affiliated bodies, except those from Russia and Belarus due to sanctions. Oxfordshire archers can sign up starting from 2nd February, while open entry is available from 22nd March, with an entry fee of £20. For any entry inquiries, please reach out to the Tournament Organiser.
