About
Welcome to Cornell School of Dance, nestled in Adel, Leeds! Founded by the fabulous Emily Cornell-Brown back in '07, this vibrant dance hub has become a go-to for kids aged two and up. With more than 200 young dancers from North Leeds areas like Horsforth, Adel, and Headingley, it’s buzzing with energy.
Here, ballet is the bread and butter, laying down solid foundations in discipline, posture, and strength. But it’s not all about the tutus! Tap dance spices things up with its quick moves, setting a cool contrast to ballet’s grace. Then there’s theatre jazz – a fun mix of flexibility and strength with some acrobatics thrown in.
Emily, our spirited principal, has danced on world stages, even on P&O Cruises. Sharing her love for dance, she’s turned her expertise into a community fiesta. Running the show is Barbara Cornell, affectionately ‘Mum’ to Emily. She’s your go-to for fees, uniforms, and all those little details that keep the school ticking.
Cornell’s team, including top-notch teachers like Catherine Moglia and Amber Carlton, ensures every child flourishes. And don’t miss the annual Summer Stars camp each August – a week of dance fun ending with an epic showcase. Themes have rocked everything from 'Hollywood' to 'Carnival.'
Emily Cornell-Brown and her crew make dance a magical journey. So, lace up those dance shoes and join the fun at Cornell School of Dance!
