Coringa BJJ Butler is a martial arts school located in Butler, Western Australia. Led by the highly skilled and experienced head coach, Fabio “Coringa” Andrade, who is a 5th Degree Black Belt and a respected figure in the world of Jiu-Jitsu.
Fabio “Coringa” Nunes was born in Rio De Janeiro, the birthplace of Jiu-Jitsu, in 1975. He started training in Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 8 and achieved his black belt at the age of 23. Fabio was a student of Ralph Gracie until he received his blue belt, after which he trained under Royler Gracie, Saulo Ribeiro, and Arthur Cartiart. He also studied Physical Education at the renowned GAMA FILHO UNIVERSITY in Rio de Janeiro, which later became known as GFTeam.
In 1995, Fabio received a sponsorship from GFTeam and met his lifelong friends and masters, Julio Cesar and Marcus Bello. In 2000, Fabio helped set up the first International GFTeam branch in Boston. Nine years later, he migrated to Perth, Australia, where he quickly built one of the largest and most successful Jiu-Jitsu teams in the country, coaching many national and international champions in both Jiu-Jitsu and MMA.
Apart from being a high-ranking black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, Fabio also holds a brown belt in Judo and has a degree in Physical Education from Gama Filho University.
