Of others in the Walk Against Family Violence on November 24th. We will march together to raise awareness and show our support for those affected by gender-based violence. It's a powerful way to start the 16 days of activism.
Throughout the 16 days, we have a calendar of events that includes workshops, podcasts, festivals, and more. These events aim to educate, empower, and bring the community together in the fight against gender-based violence. We invite everyone to participate and learn how they can make a difference.
At Conscious Combat Club, our mission is to combat gender-based violence. We understand that gender-based violence can occur in various forms and impact individuals due to their gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Examples include intimate partner violence, family violence, stalking, sexual harassment, coercive control, and sexual assault. Our goal is to create a safe space for women living with trauma to reclaim their body, confidence, and strength through trauma-informed martial arts.
We believe in the power of martial arts to transform lives and empower individuals. Our programmes are designed to incorporate trauma-informed practises while teaching kickboxing moves, trauma-informed strength training, and yoga. We believe that through the practise of martial arts, women can not only gain physical fitness but also build mental and emotional resilience.
At Conscious Combat Club, we value safety, trust, support, collaboration, and respect. These principles guide us in creating a safe space designed for women by women. Our programmes are delivered flexibly and are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual. Whether you prefer online or in-person sessions, we are here to support you on your journey.
To get started with Conscious Combat Club, we offer a discovery call where we get to know each other. You can book an initial consultation via Google Meet or, if you prefer, we can meet over a cup of coffee. From there, we offer a series of group sessions with no more than six participants in each. These sessions introduce you to kickboxing moves and help develop your grounding toolkit.
As you progress, we refine the foundations and introduce new skills such as trauma-informed strength training and yoga. Throughout your journey, you become part of our community, where you receive ongoing support and encouragement.
Don't just take our word for it – hear from our kick-ass graduates. They have shared kind words and their experiences, highlighting the impact that Conscious Combat Club has had on their lives.
In addition to our programmes, we also have a podcast where we chat with experts and kick-ass women from around the world, exploring how and why martial arts save lives. You can listen to our podcast wherever you get your podcasts.
For those interested in becoming a trauma-informed martial arts coach, psychologist, or anyone in between, we offer Conscious Teacher Training. This comprehensive programme provides everything you need to know to start your own trauma-informed martial arts course.
We also have a blog where we share our thoughts on various topics such as the window of tolerance, body connexion, choice, and being present. Our aim is to simplify research and provide accessible information for our community.
At Conscious Combat Club, we acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work, live, and play. We understand that the land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
Join us at Conscious Combat Club and reclaim your body, confidence, and strength as we combat gender-based violence together.
