Tony Heeley invites all sports players to the revamped Congleton Snooker Club on Royle Street, Congleton, Cheshire. Following a recent refurbishment, the club is now a top-notch spot for anyone keen on snooker or pool. And hey, the bar now serves a cracking selection of real ales that’s become quite the hit!
Whether you’re a member or not, Congleton Snooker Club’s doors are open seven days a week. No need for a membership – just grab your cue and get playing! To book a table or ask for more details, ring 07539 620572. Walk-ins are welcome, but a quick call ahead ensures you won’t miss out.
The club is housed in Mottershead Mill, a building with roots going back to 1826, when it churned out fustian fabric. But when demolition threatened, Tony Heeley stepped up, saving the historic mill and turning its second floor into this modern snooker haven, complete with a bar made from parts of three snooker tables.
Tony’s a bit of a local legend, known for saving not just the mill but also re-establishing Joules Brewery in Market Drayton. They’ve even named a beer, The Slumbering Monk, after him, nodding to his role in the brewing history of the town.
For opening hours and updates, check out Congleton Snooker Club’s Facebook page or give them a call. Tony and the team can’t wait to see both new faces and old pros enjoying a game in this historic Congleton spot!
