Fi Dent has been a freelance coach for over forty years and holds ten equine coaching and teaching qualifications. With a wealth of practical and theoretical experience, she is able to support her riders in their journey. Whether you are six or sixty, able-bodied or disabled, Fi has the experience and qualifications to provide you with the riding tools you need to succeed.
At Confident Equestrians, each horse and rider is treated as an individual, and training is tailored to their specific needs. Fi is there to support and reassure all her clients, offering advice on all aspects of riding, horse ownership, and care.
One unique aspect of Confident Equestrians is their use of a Wireless Horse Instruction System. This system allows up to two riders to connect via an earpiece to the coach, ensuring that they can hear instructions easily regardless of noise or distance. Fi also incorporates poles, cones, games, and grids into her coaching sessions to keep them fun and engaging. These exercises help produce happy, supple, balanced, and coordinated horses and riders who can participate in activities such as dressage, jumping, hacking, and general fun.
Fi Dent is an Accredited British Horse Society Stage 5 Coach, an Advanced Riding for the Disabled Coach, and holds two Level 3 UKCC certificates. She also has an international qualification in Rider Biomechanics. This unique combination of skills and qualifications sets her apart as a coach.
Confident Equestrians is based in Edenbridge but also travels to private and commercial yards in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, making it convenient for riders in the surrounding areas to access their services.
To ensure the safety of clients, Fi Dent is fully insured and has undergone DBS checking, safeguarding training, first aid training, and continued professional development.
