Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the South Downs, the horse riding school provides a stunning backdrop for riders to explore the countryside.

The main course at Compton Cross Country Course spans an impressive five miles, featuring undulating hills that offer breathtaking views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight to the south, and the crest of the South Downs to the north. Additionally, there is a schooling course which covers 1. 5 miles, providing riders with a variety of over seventy optional jumps, ranging in size from approximately 1'6” to 3'3”. These courses provide ample opportunities for long canters and exhilarating gallops.

The horse riding school also offers a show jump ring equipped with various jumps, including a gate, wall, water tray, planks, and stile. This ring is available for use from spring until the end of autumn, weather permitting.

The courses are open throughout the year, as the chalky soil in the area ensures favourable ground conditions in all weather conditions. Compton Cross Country Course and Show Jumps welcomes riders of all levels and abilities, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for equestrian enthusiasts.
