Competitive Sports Academy in Newmarket is dedicated to helping basketball players enhance their skills, discipline, and character. Chris, the organizer, ensures the academy provides intensive instruction and opportunities for players to compete at higher levels where teamwork and good sportsmanship are key.
With a blend of regular staff and part-time volunteers, Chris and the team are committed to helping athletes reach their full potential, supported by a professional environment and strong parental involvement. The aim is to guide young athletes in achieving their goals both on and off the court.
Thanks to community support, Competitive Sports Academy has grown steadily, making a positive impact in youth basketball development. Their mission: create meaningful change with the help of committed members and volunteers.
A proud moment for the academy is being selected as one of ten teams in the inaugural season of the OBA G-Elite Basketball League for High School girls. This league, launched by Ontario Basketball, offers a competitive and inclusive platform for young female athletes to develop their skills.
The G-Elite League bridges the gap between OBL-X and OSBA, allowing Junior (U15/U16) and Senior (U17/U19) teams to compete at a high level. Girls already on OBA or OSBA teams can also join G-Elite, enhancing their development.
