Junior Sport Stars offers Competition Level Gymnastics in Stockport. The Gymnastics Squad, a select group of gymnasts, trains between 6–12 hours per week. These remarkable athletes are chosen by the Head Gymnastics Coach from the Intermediate and Advanced classes, based on their exceptional promise, ability, and dedication. They train diligently to represent the School of Gymnastics club in various local and regional competitions throughout the year.
Headed by our professional and popular coaches, who hold qualifications through British Gymnastics, the Gymnastics Squad benefits from their wealth of experience. These coaches work in primary schools on a daily basis, ensuring that they are equipped to bring out the best in our young gymnasts.
Excitingly, Junior Sport Stars has recently relocated to state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities in Heaton Mersey, Stockport. Our brand new venue is equipped with state-of-the-art gymnastics equipment supplied by Gymnova, who were the suppliers for the prestigious 2018 European Championships. From artistic gymnastics to rhythmic gymnastics, our facility caters to all disciplines, allowing our athletes to train at the highest level.
Membership to the Gymnastics Squad is exclusive and by invitation only. In addition to this, interested individuals must also hold a Junior Sport Star’s School of Gymnastics Club membership and a British Gymnastics Bronze membership. These requirements ensure that our athletes are well-supported and meet the necessary standards to excel in their gymnastics journey.
