Ben Thompson, the organiser behind Community Soccer6s, wants to share some exciting news with all of you. Community Soccer6s, a football club located in Whitley Bay, is affiliated with the UKMA (United Kingdom Minifootball Association) and runs competitive six-a-side leagues across the North East.

Ben ensures all matches are officiated by qualified referees and held on high-quality 3G and 4G AstroTurf or all-weather pitches. The club's various venues in the region make travel convenient and offer excellent facilities, including showers and changing rooms.

While the leagues mainly cater to adults (16+), Ben encourages older players to join and keeps player safety and respect a priority. Disrespect towards officials or teams is simply not tolerated.

Teams can track their progress on the club's online platform, featuring league tables, fixtures, and game results. To find the nearest league centre, use the interactive map on the website or reach out directly for more details.

It's worth noting that new teams are only added to select leagues, but you can use the interactive map to find a suitable league and check team availability. If your desired league isn't listed, you can join a waiting list and be notified when a spot opens up.

To register, you'll need to provide your team name, manager's contact details, and preferred playing days and ability level. The registration fee is £20, and you'll need to understand and accept the Soccer6s rules. Remember, teams will be charged match fees for cancellations unless notice is given three days prior.

Ben also emphasises player safety with a strict policy on footwear—only moulded studs or trainers are allowed; metal studs or tipped blades are not permitted.
