Fun For Life Dog Sports Club in Brisbane presents the combined puppies, manners, and life skills classes! This exciting event is all about helping you and your furry friend develop the necessary skills for a harmonious life together.
These classes are open to all dogs and consist of six core components that are essential for a well-behaved and happy dog. First up, we have the “Come” command, because let's face it, we all want our dogs to come back to us when called. Next, we'll teach you and your pup the art of walking on a loose lead with our “Look and Leave” lesson. This will make your walks much more enjoyable for both of you.
Then, we'll tackle the “Say Please” command, also known as the “Sit” command. Teaching your dog to sit on command is not only impressive, but it also helps to establish boundaries and manners. We'll also focus on teaching your dog to be aware of every part of their body, which is crucial for their safety and well-being.
Relaxation and handling skills are essential for any dog. We'll guide you through techniques to help your furry friend become more relaxed and comfortable in various situations. Additionally, we'll address common behaviour issues such as excessive barking, destructive tendencies, and meeting and greeting other dogs and people.
Our experienced trainers will also provide valuable strategies for managing children and dogs, understanding dog body language, reducing anxiety levels, environmental enrichment, and dealing with food guarding. We understand that each group may have specific needs, so we'll tailor our approach accordingly.
The combined puppies, manners, and life skills classes consist of six lessons, with each lasting approximately 45 minutes. To ensure that you get the most out of these sessions, we also offer one private lesson and an Introduction to Training session. Before joining the group lessons, it is necessary to attend the Introduction to Training. Don't worry if you can't make it to our venue; we can come to your place for this session. Please note that a $50.00 deposit is required, which will be deducted from the total course fee of $150.
If you happen to miss a class, don't fret! You can make it up the following week. However, keep in mind that all six lessons must be completed within a three-month period. You can start the class at any time, as long as you have already completed the Introduction to Training session.
If you're excited about joining our puppies, manners, and life skills classes, we invite you to fill in the form to register your interest. Once we receive your details, we'll get in touch with more information. Get ready to have a blast while fostering a deep bond with your four-legged companion!
