Fun For Life, the Dog Sports club in Brisbane, offers combined puppies, manners, and life skills classes to help dog owners develop essential skills for harmonious living with their dogs. These classes are suitable for all dogs and cover six core lessons.
The first lesson focuses on teaching dogs to come when called, an important skill for their safety. The second lesson covers walking on a loose lead and the etiquette of looking and leaving, ensuring pleasant and controlled walks. The third lesson, also known as “Say Please,” teaches dogs to sit on command.
The fourth lesson emphasises understanding and handling every part of your dog's body, promoting trust and cooperation. The fifth lesson focuses on relaxation techniques and how to handle and groom your dog comfortably. Throughout these classes, you will also gain strategies to manage your dog's behaviour, such as barking, destructive tendencies, and meeting new people and dogs.
Our classes also cover topics like interpreting dog body language, managing anxiety levels, enriching their environment, and addressing food guarding issues. The content of these classes is tailored to meet the specific needs of the group, ensuring effective and relevant training.
Each course consists of six lessons, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. Additionally, the course includes one private lesson and an Introduction to Training session. Before attending the group lessons, completing the Introduction to Training is necessary. If it is more convenient for you, we can conduct the Introduction to Training session at your place, requiring a $50.00 deposit that will be deducted from the total cost of $150.
In case you miss a class, you have the opportunity to make it up the following week. It is important to note that all six lessons must be completed within a three-month period. The flexibility of our classes allows you to join at any time, as long as you have completed the Introduction to Training.
