COLT - Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training

COLT – Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training is a unique and immersive program located in Campbell River. The program is designed for students looking to enhance their outdoor skills for personal growth or to pursue a career in outdoor education and adventure guiding. With a 100-day semester offering certification in activities such as Sea Kayaking, Rock Climbing, White Water Boating, Canoeing, Mountaineering, and Wilderness First Aid, participants can expect top-quality instruction.

Based out of Strathcona Park Lodge, COLT takes place on Vancouver Island, set against the stunning backdrop of traditional and unceded territories of the First Nations of the Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwakawakw, and Coast Salish traditions. The learning environment extends beyond the traditional classroom walls, immersing students in the wild west coast elements of rugged mountains, old growth forests, fast-flowing rivers, pristine lakes, and the open ocean.
