In addition to their regular classes, “Colours Martial Arts” provides a specialised programme called “Colours Cubs” for children aged four to seven. This programme uses Taekwon-Do as a platform to teach basic self-defence skills, as well as essential life skills such as communication, focus, discipline, coordination, fitness, and self-esteem.
The school offers classes for juniors (aged seven to sixteen) where the focus is on teaching Taekwon-Do as a method of self-defence applicable to various settings. Juniors also learn sport-sparring skills and traditional forms/patterns, all while maintaining a high standard of courtesy, discipline, and respect.
For teens and adults, “Colours Martial Arts” offers the opportunity to study the traditional art of Taekwon-Do. This includes traditional forms/patterns, power-breaking, practical self-defence scenarios, and sport-sparring skills. The school's chief instructor is Mr. Chris McKenna, a 4th Degree Black Belt in ITF Taekwon-Do. With years of experience and a background in the Royal Marines, Mr. McKenna brings not only his martial arts expertise but also his extensive knowledge of physical training to the classes.
Another instructor at the school is Mr. Adam Green, a 4th Degree Black Belt who has achieved success in both national and international competitions. Mr. Green, who also works as a primary school teacher, enjoys passing on skills and confidence to children.
