At Colebrook School of Dance and Performing Arts, located in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, aspiring dancers of all ages and abilities are welcomed into a vibrant and supportive dance community. Established on March 1st, 2014, the school started with just one Ballet class per week for children attending a local nursery. However, it has since expanded to offer a comprehensive 7-day timetable across two fully equipped studios.

The school boasts a wide range of dance and performing arts disciplines, including Ballet, Tap, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Gymnastics, Street Dance, Commercial, Conditioning, Drama, and Musical Theatre. Students have the opportunity to take accredited examinations with The Associated Board of Dance, which are held at the dance studios. Additionally, the school provides numerous stage performance opportunities throughout the year for children as young as 2 years old.

Team Colebrook takes great pride in maintaining a 100% pass rate on all major examinations taken with the Associated Board of Dance (ABD). As an accredited GQAL registered centre, students can earn valuable UCAS points for university when taking exams in Grade 1 and upwards in Ballet, Tap, and Modern/Jazz styles, starting from early 2023.

Building confidence and fostering long-lasting friendships with mutual respect are fundamental principles at Colebrook School of Dance and Performing Arts. The school is dedicated to teaching dance and performing arts techniques while also creating a bespoke activity for each child. Whether a student chooses to attend one class per week to socialise with friends or becomes part of the county-wide competition team, the school aims to cater to every want, need, and budget. Every child has the opportunity to shine and take on lead roles if desired, ensuring there is no room at “the back” for anyone attending lessons.

The highly qualified teaching team at Colebrook School of Dance and Performing Arts puts together bi-annual shows for students to showcase the skills they have learned in classes. While participation in these shows is not compulsory, they are beneficial in building confidence and allowing individual children to display their progress over time.

All teachers, student teachers, assistants, administration teams, volunteers, and designated chaperones at the school hold the highest qualifications in their respective fields and possess relevant certifications. They participate in regular courses for continued learning, hold full chaperone licences, have the necessary insurances, enhanced DBS checks, and first aid training.
