Cogenhoe United Football Club, established in 1967, is one of Northamptonshire's most successful UCL (United Counties League) football clubs. With an illustrious history and a long list of winning honours, Cogenhoe United has become a renowned and respected name in the football community.

Originally joining the Central Village League, the club quickly made a mark by becoming Division Two champions in 1951-52. However, the club unfortunately folded in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Determined to continue their legacy, Cogenhoe United was re-established in 1967 and joined Division Two of the Central Northamptonshire Combination.

The club's success continued throughout the years. A promotion to Division One in the early 1970s set the stage for their rise to greatness. Finishing fourth in Division One in 1977-78 secured their promotion to the premier Division. The early 1980s marked a period of immense success, with Cogenhoe United clinching the premier Division title in 1980-81 and finishing as runners-up the following season.

Their dominance continued, as they secured back-to-back titles in 1982-83 and 1983-84.

In 1984-85, Cogenhoe United finished third in the top Division before joining Division One of the United Counties League. A second-from-bottom finish in their first season led to them applying for re-election, but in the 1986-87 season, they finished second in Division One, earning a promotion to the top Division once again.

The club has also enjoyed success in cup competitions, winning the leading Division Knock-Out Cup in 1995-96 and 1999-2000, showcasing their versatility and skills.
