The Cobram Pistol Club is excited to announce an upcoming event that is sure to be a hit with shooting enthusiasts in the Moira Shire area. After a recent surge in membership, our club has decided to host a Benchrest Shooting event that promises to be both challenging and thrilling.
Since our last post in 2017, our club has seen a remarkable increase in interest. Thanks to our active blog, we have piqued the curiosity of many avid shooters, who have then introduced their friends to our club. This chain reaction of word-of-mouth has been incredibly beneficial, as new members continue to join our ranks.
We have also received inquiries from individuals who are moving to the Cobram/Yarrawonga area for work. They are eager to find a club nearby where they can continue their passion for shooting, and we are more than happy to provide them with a welcoming environment to hone their skills.
Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, our club has managed to adapt and continue hosting regular shoots. While the Practical finals had to be cancelled for the past two years, we have ensured that our members can still enjoy at least two or three shoots each month at a club level. These shoots have become a highlight for our members, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete in a friendly atmosphere.
In addition to our shooting activities, the Cobram Pistol Club has been hard at work improving our facilities. We now have a brand new clubhouse, complete with running water and new power supplies. Major earthworks have also been undertaken to enhance our premises. Furthermore, we take pride in our active participation in fundraisers, such as Bunnings barbecues, which have proven to be a successful way to generate funds for the club.
