Chris, your organiser, wants to share a quick update about Cobholm Skatepark in Great Yarmouth. The newly rebuilt park is now entirely concrete and is designed for a straightforward back-and-forth run, with a street section in the middle. At one end, there's a tall quarter-pipe ramp, and at the other, a low bank.
The street area is equipped with three rails: a right-angle rail and two flat ones. You'll also find a ledge and a hip for practising tricks. The ground gradually rises towards the bank, featuring a short hubba on one side and a rail on the other.
Canvas, a top skatepark builder, took charge of constructing the new concrete design, replacing the old metal-framed ramps and tarmac base. The skatepark is free and open to everyone, anytime.
The address for Cobholm Skatepark is Mill Road, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR31 0AU. It’s easily found on what3words or Google Maps.
Please note, there are no immediate amenities around the skatepark, but it offers a great challenge for skaters of all levels.
The Skateparks Project, the group behind Cobholm Skatepark, continues to offer free advice and resources to help councils and communities build top-notch skateparks. They also maintain the UK's largest skatepark directory.
