St Ives Surf School, the renowned Surfing club in Saint Ives, is excited to promote an upcoming local Surfing event. But first, let's talk about another thrilling adventure experience that you wouldn't want to miss out on - Coasteering in Cornwall!
Coasteering is an exhilarating way to explore the rugged St Ives coastline. Our Coasteering sessions take place at Porthmeor Beach, although if conditions favour the other side of St Ives, we also have the stunning Porthminster Beach as an alternative base. Picture this – traversing rocks, floating through gullies, sea swimming, exploring caves, leaping off jumps, and plunging into the ocean below. It's an adrenaline-charged experience that guarantees heaps of fun, all while being carefully guided by our highly trained and qualified professionals.
We understand that everyone has different needs and abilities, which is why our Coasteering sessions can be tailored accordingly. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate level participant, we've got you covered. With jumps ranging from one to seven meters high, there's something for all thrill-seekers. And let's not forget about the breathtaking beauty of the St Ives coastline – it's no wonder we claim it to be the most beautiful stretch in Cornwall. Our expert guides, with their extensive ocean experience, will showcase every rock pool, gully, and jump in the area, giving you a truly unique and off-the-beaten-track perspective. Safety is our top priority, so rest assured that all our guides are fully qualified beach lifeguards and coasteering instructors.
Looking to join a public session? We run coasteering sessions at different times throughout the day, with a maximum group size of 16 people. You'll always have at least two qualified guides accompanying you. Please note that the minimum age for this activity is 12 years old, and participants are required to have a comfortable swimming ability of at least 50m. If you're under 16, don't forget to bring along an adult. Prices for public sessions are as follows: £45 for one person, £40 per person for two, £35 per person for three, and £32 per person for four or more.
Alternatively, we also offer private coasteering sessions, perfect for larger groups, families, and special occasions. These sessions can be customised to meet specific needs, ages, and capabilities.
