Coastal Inlet Adventures

Coastal Inlet Adventures is a hunting and fishing camp located in Powell River, on the Sunshine Coast of southwestern British Columbia. Spanning over 3,500 square miles of pristine hunting territory, this area is known for its abundant wildlife and record-size animals. Accessible only by boat or floatplane, our clients have a unique opportunity to experience some of the best hunting in North America.

One of the main attractions at Coastal Inlet Adventures is the black bear population. Coastal British Columbia is home to arguably the highest population of black bears per square mile in North America. With the mild climate and abundant food sources, these bears frequently reach record sizes. Our black bear hunts are conducted in the spring, with exciting spot and stalk methods.

The average black bear harvested squares over six feet, with many reaching over seven feet.

Another highlight of hunting at Coastal Inlet Adventures is the opportunity to hunt the majestic Roosevelt elk. Reintroduced to the Sunshine Coast from Vancouver Island in 1996, these genetically pure Roosevelt elk have flourished in the area. Many of the bulls weigh in excess of 1,000 lbs, with some reaching impressive scores for the Boone & Crockett record book. With one of the largest elk quotas in British Columbia, we offer a variety of hunting zones to cater to different physical conditions.

Our hunting camps are comfortably outfitted with float houses, complete with electric lights, hot showers, and comfortable beds. Whether you are a seasoned hunter or new to the sport, our experienced guides will plan your hunt to ensure a memorable and successful experience. From driving in a pickup truck to backpack hunts, we can tailor the hunt to suit your preferences.

If you are travelling from outside British Columbia, you can fly into Vancouver International Airport, and we will assist with your transportation to the camp.
