About
Join Nomad Sailing (Shorebased) for the RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Course, where sailors can learn essential skills and techniques for safely skippering a cruising yacht on coastal passages by day and night. This course is perfect for those with prior knowledge and experience as a Day Skipper, looking to take their sailing abilities to the next level.
During the course, participants will focus on enhancing navigation skills, improving boat handling techniques, mastering passage planning, establishing efficient watch systems, and honing crew management abilities. With a small class size of a maximum of 3 students per instructor, you'll have plenty of one-on-one time to develop and grow your skills on the water.
The course includes all necessary materials and takes place at Gosport Marina, offering a picturesque and dynamic setting for learning and practising new skills. Prior to attending the course, it is highly recommended that individuals have completed and passed the Coastal Skipper theory course to ensure they are fully prepared for the practical aspects of sailing.
