Club PER takes pride in its team of dedicated coaches who come from diverse backgrounds in classical ballet, dance, theatre, and sport. All coaches are qualified and highly trained, holding up-to-date First Aid/CPR certificates and Working with Children checks. The gymnasiums are equipped with Rhythmic Gymnastics matting and certified equipment, ensuring a safe training environment. Member Protection Officers are available within the club community to address any concerns.
The Principal and Head Coach of Club PER, Rachel Weiner, has been involved in Rhythmic Gymnastics for more than 20 years. She brings a wealth of experience as a gymnast and is a Gymnastics Australia High Performance Rhythmic coach and Advanced Silver Rhythmic judge. Rachel is passionate about bringing out the very best in each student and is known for her motivation and dedication. She is also an accomplished dancer/choreographer and certified barre instructor.
Club PER offers Rhythmic Gymnastics classes at three locations in Sydney. Students can choose between Foundation and Competition streams, with classes suitable for all ages. The programmes aim to develop strength, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and music appreciation. Students work with various Rhythmic Gymnastics apparatus such as Rope, Hoop, Ball, Clubs, and Ribbon.
In addition to term programmes, Club PER also offers holiday programmes filled with fun activities for both new and enrolled students. New students can explore the world of Rhythmic Gymnastics, while enrolled students can continue their progress outside the school term. The holiday programmes include workshops in classical ballet, dance technique, music selection, choreography training, understanding judging criteria, and leotard design.
