Club Aquatique Salaberry

Club Aquatique Salaberry is a thriving swim club located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, dedicated to promoting and facilitating both recreational and competitive swimming. The club's mission is to support the development of athletes while encouraging a love for the sport of swimming.

The club offers registration for the 2023-2024 season from September 5th to 8th from 5pm to 7 pm at the Cit des Arts et des Sports, with the option to join at any time during the season. With a free trial session available, the club welcomes swimmers aged 7 to 101, with no limit on the number of registrations per age group.

Training sessions are held Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 7am to 9am, from September to June. Coaches are present at all sessions to provide guidance and support. The club's Facebook page offers an easy way to stay updated on news and events, while the website provides information on registration fees and the training schedule.

The club is grateful for the support of the city and its members, with an annual general meeting scheduled for September 18th at 5pm. The board of directors includes President David Funk, Vice-President Jonathan Gingras, Treasurer Dominique Pageau, and Secretary-Administrators milie Poirier and Marie-ve St-Aubin. Head Coach Isabelle Dalcourt leads the training sessions with dedication and expertise.

To ensure a positive training environment, the club upholds a “Code du bon nageur” outlining guidelines for swimmers. Benefits of swimming, supported by the Amateur Swimming Association and a Speedo study conducted by Ipsos MORI, are highlighted to emphasize the advantages of the sport.
