Clover School of Dancing

Welcome to Clover School Of Dancing! Established in 1990, Clover School of Dancing offers ballet, tap, and jazz classes for children at three convenient locations in York: Heworth and Dunnington. The school is run by Elaine Brittain and her daughter Heather Taylor, both qualified IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) teachers.

At Clover School of Dancing, students have the opportunity to participate in IDTA exams three to four times a year, with an exceptional pass rate. However, the school's focus is on ensuring that students enjoy their dance sessions and participate enthusiastically. Elaine and Heather believe that this approach leads to success.

To showcase their talents, the school stages a dance show every 18 months where the children have the chance to perform on stage. This event has been highly successful over the years, and the proceeds have benefitted many local charities. Additionally, the school organises a popular summer school during the third week of the summer holidays, where children can showcase their dancing and acting skills for their parents.

All dance classes at Clover School of Dancing are priced at 5. 00 – 5. 50 per hour, with private lessons available upon arrangement. The venues for the classes include Heworth Community Centre, Dunnington Reading Room Village Hall, and The Grand Opera House York.
