Climb Basketball Academy

Climb Basketball Academy is a basketball club in Edmonton, Alberta, focusing on the development of young players aged 5 to 13 years old. Founded by Coach Slav Kornik, who brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the academy, our goal is to help kids improve their basketball skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Coach Slav has an extensive background in basketball, having coached at various levels including high school, provincial teams, university, and college. He holds certifications from Canada Basketball and has dedicated countless hours to improving his coaching knowledge. This experience has shaped his coaching philosophy, which emphasizes skill development and creating a positive experience for all players.

At Climb Basketball Academy, we strive to provide a high level of coaching by maintaining small player-to-coach ratios to ensure individual attention and instruction. We offer programs that focus on fundamental skills and movements, blending development with play to keep the kids engaged and excited about the game. Our programs are held in gymnasiums with adjustable hoop heights and appropriately sized basketballs, catering to the needs of young children new to the sport.
