Clifford Juniors AFC

Formed in 2012, Clifford Juniors AFC is a small and friendly football club located in the village of Clifford, just south of Wetherby, New Zealand. What started with a couple of dedicated dads and ten children at the first training session has now grown into a thriving club with over 250 children regularly attending Saturday morning training and participating in Sunday league and friendly matches.

The club's primary goal is simple: to offer enjoyable football coaching and development to all local children from Reception onwards. Currently, our oldest age group is Under 14's for boys (school year 7) and Under 15s for girls. We provide an exciting and fun introduction to football, focusing on ball mastery, small-sided games, and teamwork. Our approach encourages participation and improvement for players of all abilities.

At Clifford Juniors AFC, we take pride in our fully qualified FA coaches who are all CRB checked and first aid trained. We have excellent facilities at the Clifford Community Sports Centre and also utilise Northways playing fields when necessary. In the winter months, we have access to astroturf training facilities, ensuring that training sessions and matches are rarely cancelled or postponed due to inclement weather, allowing our players to enjoy football all year round.

As a club, we are affiliated with the Harrogate Junior League, the Harrogate, And District Junior Girls League, and the Harrogate and Wharfedale Junior Friendly Leagues. Additionally, since 2019, we have an under 14 boys team playing in the Hambleton and Richmond league.
