Claresholm Kraken Swim Club

The Claresholm Kraken Summer Swim Club is a proud member of the Alberta Summer Swim Association (ASSA) Region F, located in sunny Southern Alberta. Our season runs from May 1 to mid-August, culminating with the Provincial Competition. We have a dynamic and diverse group of athletes, ranging in ages, abilities, and participation levels. Our team prioritizes swimmer development both in and out of the water, fostering a positive atmosphere that focuses on personal growth.

The club offers programs such as the Mini Kraken Program for beginners and a Competitive Program with options for 3 or 5 hours of training per week. We also have a dedicated Kraken Executive team that ensures the smooth operation of the club and the success of our athletes.

Located in the small town of Claresholm, Alberta, approximately an hour south of Calgary and an hour north of Lethbridge, the Claresholm Kraken Summer Swim Club has a long history of community involvement and plans to continue growing and staying involved in the community. The club follows a Club Philosophy that focuses on developing swimmers with excellent technique, good sportsmanship, and team spirit, while creating a positive environment for friendships to flourish.

The Claresholm Kraken Swim Club is governed by its bylaws, policies, and procedures, with the Board of Directors following the Claresholm Kraken Swim Club Policy Manual. The volunteer board members are dedicated to creating a fun, supportive, and positive team environment. The club welcomes volunteers who are interested in joining the board or one of the committees.
