Clan Skates, founded by Davie Philip and Jamie back in ’88, is a fixture in Glasgow’s skate and surf scene. As the oldest skateboard shop in Scotland, it’s been catering to all sorts of board lovers—skateboarders, snowboarders, and surfers alike.
Jamie wants to share a bit about what Clan Skates has to offer. They stock a wide range of gear—skateboards, scooters, surfboards, snowboards, you name it—and all the accessories to go with them. They regularly update their inventory, and while their website shows some of their core products, they encourage folks to get in touch for any specific gear they might need.
Clan Skates kicked off with skateboarding, and they’ve stuck to their roots. Their shelves are packed with complete setups, decks, longboards, cruisers, trucks, wheels, and all sorts of protective gear. They’ve got way more in the shop than online, so it’s always a good idea to pop in or give them a ring if you’re after something special.
In ’91, Jamie and the team started Clan Adventures surf school. Besides lessons and gear rentals, they stock surfboards, wetsuits, and all the kit you need. They also do repairs and offer transport tips to the best local spots—just give them a shout for the latest info.
Snowboarding joined the mix in ’89, and Clan Skates quickly became a go-to for both newbies and seasoned pros. They’ve got rental gear, repair services, and loads of friendly advice for anyone dropping by.
