Hey everyone,
Jim, your club organiser, wanted to share a quick note about the City of Oxford Rowing Club. Nestled right in the heart of Oxford, this club has a fantastic heritage and a vibrant community. It’s home to over 300 members ranging from absolute beginners to seasoned pros. There’s a squad for everyone – men, women, juniors, and even adaptive teams, so no one’s left out.
A massive shout-out from Jim to all sponsors and donors who make the club what it is. From the Doris Field Charitable Trust to the family of Paul Hiscock, and many more, your support is invaluable.
Get the latest gossip and updates on the club's website, including info about regattas and races. Also, a special mention for Carl Purchase – a cherished member we lost early in the pandemic, whose memory lives on within our community.
Good news on the social front – the Bar & Café has reopened! Pop by Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 12 pm for some fresh air and good company. Plans are in place to extend these hours as restrictions lift, so watch this space.
Jim wants to remind everyone that the club is sticking to all the COVID-19 guidelines to keep us all safe, so you can row worry-free.
Thinking about joining or got any questions? Drop the club an email – they’re always up for a chat and ready to help.
Cheers,
Jim
