Welcome to the City League Junior Football Home page! The City League Junior Football leagues are perfect for players and teams aged from 6–14 years old. We offer exciting games played in 2 × 10 week leagues, taking place weekly in the wonderful locations of Hutt (McEwan Park, Petone) and soon at Wellington High School.
Whether you're part of a team, have some mates who would like to join, or want to come and play for yourself, we invite you to come and check us out first at our FREE TRIAL DAY, which usually kicks off each season (but remember, you'll need to register on the link below).
Our teams consist of 6 players on the pitch with rolling substitutions and a maximum of 3 substitutes. We give players and teams the freedom to choose a grade that matches their competitive level.
Our games are held on Sundays in Hutt at McEwan Park (Surface Grass) and on Fridays in Wellington at Wellington High School (Surface Artificial, Summer Only). Each game is divided into 2 × 20 minute halves, and if necessary, penalty shootouts are lined up. For those participating in Hutt leagues, training takes place on Wednesdays.
To make your experience even better, we provide Referees, Balls, Online scores and Fixtures, Photos, Venue Awards, and POD Vouchers for Players. If you're curious about what we offer, you can join us for a free trial, allowing you to find the Venue, Grade, Team, and Coach that you prefer. Join our squad for 10 weeks of training and games with your choice of team and coach, and prepare for your weekly league game. Our leagues are graded so that your team can be as professional as you want them to be, and your football experience will be unrestricted, following the usual football rules (No retreating line, choose your best team, No Goalkeeper restrictions).
Now let's talk about the perks! When you sign up for this fantastic season of football, you'll get to train with a dedicated coach once a week, play exciting games every Sunday, and receive your chosen Club's Kit (Shirt, Shorts, and Socks).
If you're new to the game, you'll need to click the Members Link in the top right-hand corner and then Register. Simply complete the account details and then create a Player. Existing players can jump right in and REGISTER NOW.
For teams, groups, and individuals who want to give it a try, we offer a pre-season FREE Have a Go Day. Following that, teams participate in a grading tournament during the first week (remember, you can decide the grade you prefer during registration, but you may be reassigned after the grading tournament). The weeks that follow involve a round-robin format league, ultimately concluding with Semi's and Finals. If you're signing up as a Team, make sure to have a Coach and a full kit ready. Not to worry, we have team Kits available (Shirt, Shorts, and Socks) for $60. New Teams will need to click the Members Link in the top right-hand corner and then Register. Simply complete the account details and then create a Team.
