Cirkidz's Circus Maximus Performance Day and Fundraiser is a highly anticipated event in Adelaide's circus community. This renowned event, which received the prestigious title of 'Community Event of the Year 2014' in the City of Charles Sturt Australia Day awards, takes place once a year in the City of Charles Sturt, Australia.
Since its establishment in 2008, Circus Maximus has provided a stage for circus school students, performance program members, professional artists, and creative individuals from Bowden's community. This event serves multiple purposes, including raising funds for the circus centre, uniting the community, and offering a day full of awe-inspiring performances, a delightful shared lunch, exciting raffle prizes, and much more.
During Circus Maximus, the SA Circus Centre undergoes a complete transformation, creating a captivating performance venue for approximately 800 talented Cirkidz students, their friends, and families. This event not only showcases the skills of these young circus artists but also aims to entertain and mesmerise generations of spectators.
It is important to highlight that Circus Maximus is made possible thanks to the unwavering dedication of a team of enthusiastic volunteers. These individuals generously contribute their time and efforts to organise and execute this incredible event. If you are interested in lending a hand on the day or even becoming part of the Friends of Circus Maximus volunteer organising committee, we encourage you to reach out to us via email.
We look forward to welcoming you to Circus Maximus, a day where talent, community spirit, and the joy of aerial acrobatics come together to create an unforgettable experience. It's a celebration you won't want to miss!
