Keen to join a fun and friendly fishing crew in Christchurch? The Christchurch Fishing and Casting Club (CFCC), founded back in '67 by a bunch of fishing fanatics, is where it's at. Led by Della, the club offers a welcoming vibe for both seasoned anglers and newbies.

They’ve got heaps of fishing know-how with over 50 years of experience. Whether you're into fly or spin fishing for salmon and trout, or surf casting for rig, elephant fish, blue moki, kahawai, and more, CFCC has the tips and tricks to up your game.

One of the best bits? The awesome day and overnight trips around the South Island. You’ll fish in stunning spots, from rivers and lakes to wild coastal areas, and meet heaps of like-minded fishos.

Don't miss their monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of every month (except Dec and Jan) – it’s a top chance to swap stories, learn new techniques, and catch up with the local fishing community.

Keen to join? It’s just $35 for an adult membership. Fill out a nomination form and get two club members to sign it. Spaces are tight, capped at 100 members, so you’ll be part of a close-knit group.
