Without detailed travel plans, so Chong Lee gathered several documents supporting his academic scholarship in the United States. With more difficulty than he had anticipated, Chong Lee arrived in the United States and settled in Albany, New York where he then had to work pumping gas to gain his degree in engineering. Meanwhile, he also researched universities where Taekwondo was taught as a sport.

After obtaining his engineering degree in the United States, Grand Master Lee continued with his study of Taekwondo. He observed a well-known school of Taekwondo in Sydney, Canada, where he studied the philosophy of the art. From there, he traveled to Switzerland to further study the art of Taekwondo. Grand Master Lee not only learned the philosophy behind Taekwondo, but also developed his own expertise.

In the years following Grand Master Lee's return to Montreal, Taekwondo slowly took shape and developed into the art that was recently presented at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.

Furthermore, Chong Lee is a graduate of the cole Polytechnique de Montral, obtained his teaching certificate in Quebec and is a licensed engineer. He has devoted his life to the promotion of the art of Taekwondo here in Canada and around the world through the contributions he has made to the sport. Through Grand Master Lee's 45 years of teaching, the invincible spirit of Taekwondo has been spread to over ten thousand individuals in Canada. Additionally, Grand Master Lee has fostered and encouraged the development of many champions who have achieved their goals on the international scene.
