At Chimaera Climbing, we pride ourselves on being made by climbers, run by climbers, and loved by climbers. Our dedicated indoor rock climbing gym in Tunbridge Wells is home to one of the finest bouldering walls in the South East of England. Our walls are designed to offer a variety of unique challenges, catering to climbers of all abilities.
For those new to bouldering, we offer a range of taster sessions and classes to help you get started. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff, who are all local climbers, are always ready to offer advice and support. We believe that climbing should be accessible to everyone, which is why we welcome climbers from as young as five years old, with no upper age limit. It's a fantastic activity for families, groups of friends, or individuals looking for a new and exciting way to stay fit.
In addition to our bouldering walls, we have a dedicated training area equipped with campus boards, fingerboards, and a 40-degree wall. For those who prefer callisthenics, we also have a weights room and rings. Our in-house shop stocks all the essential climbing gear, including chalk, tape, clothing, shoes, guidebooks, coaching manuals, and outdoor equipment.
After a challenging climbing session, you can refuel and relax in our fully licenced caf. Grab a snack or treat yourself to a well-earned drink while enjoying the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
At Chimaera Climbing, we don't just offer indoor climbing. We also organise outdoor rock climbing trips throughout the year, allowing you to take your skills from the walls to the local sandstone crags. If you're interested in climbing outdoors, make sure to check out Chimaera Outdoors.
