Hey sports community!
Just a note from Sam, the organizer at the Chilliwack Lawn Bowling Club. Founded back in 1922, it's the oldest sports spot in Chilliwack. You can find it on Edward Street, right across from the Princess Street Armouries. Fun fact: before its current home, members used to play on Mr. Harry J. Barber's front lawn on Westminster Avenue.
The club’s a great place to meet new folks, get a bit of exercise, and dive into the history of lawn bowling. The greens are well-kept and the setting is nice and calm. It's perfect whether you're a pro or just starting out.
When you join, you can take part in different events and competitions, plus get some coaching to up your game. There are also social gatherings, BBQs, and other activities to build a sense of community.
So, whether you've been bowling forever or are just curious about the sport, the Chilliwack Lawn Bowling Club is the place to be. Come connect, play, and enjoy the outdoors. Hope to see you there soon!
Cheers,
Sam
