Chetwynd & Area Recreation Centre

Located at 4552 North Access Road in Chetwynd, the Chetwynd & Area Recreation Centre is a hub for community members to come together and enjoy a wide range of recreational activities. With a dedicated team led by Director of Recreation, Robin Langille, Recreation Programs Manager, Elaine Webb, and Manager of Leisure Services, Kristina Phillips, the centre offers a variety of programs and services to cater to the diverse needs of the community.

The facility boasts a range of amenities including an arena, curling rink, hall rentals, food services, courts, climbing wall, programs, leisure pool, hot tub, sauna, waterslide, and gym. Whether you're looking to participate in a fitness class, enjoy a swim, or host an event, the Chetwynd & Area Recreation Centre has something for everyone.

The Chetwynd & Area Recreation Centre operates under an Operations Agreement by the District of Chetwynd, ensuring that the facilities are managed in accordance with the mandate set by the Civic Properties Commission. This volunteer-led group, consisting of elected officials from the Peace River Regional District and the District of Chetwynd, oversees the operations of the complex to ensure that it aligns with the community's needs.

The centre's mission is to work collaboratively with the community to provide top-quality recreation programs and services to the residents of Chetwynd and the surrounding area. With a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the community, the centre's goals are continuously adapting to ensure that they deliver the best possible recreational services.
